[ADDED] Always asking to save factory file

This is a minor buglet. Regardless of whether the current object has changed or whether the factory file has just been saved, loading a factory file ALWAYS asks whether to save the existing factory file. I believe this functionality should be modified so that the user is only requested to save if th...

+1 on that.

I would prefer having an option in S3D.

Re: Feature Request: Eject Media

As a workaround, you could create a symlink. You can also label your sdcards. Under ubuntu 14.04, I did this: echo mtools_skip_check=1 >> ~/.mtoolsrc sudo umount /dev/sdc1 sudo mlabel -i /dev/sdc1 -s ::MYNAME (assuming that your sdcard is /dev/sdc1). Then the sdcard shows up as /media/username/MYNA...

Might as well forget about it then. At least with S3D there is a history of suggestions making it into a future release.

Printing Via USB

This might be of interest to other S3D users. Whilst I know the shortcomings of printing via USB, that worked very reliably for me for several months, so I never got around to using an SD card. Then about 3 weeks ago the USB became really troublesome and I couldn't print anything - so I started usin...

Re: [Feature Request] Honeycomb infill

I accept the findings of the tests that have been made, and apologise for having raised a non-issue with my concern about the strength of the hexagonal infill. With regard to hexagonal copyright which MakerBot might hold, would it not be possible to consider octagonal (8 sided rather than 6 sided)? ...

Re: Feature Request: Turn Off Makerware Services Option

MakerWare does NOT automatically start the services - you have to manually turn them on/off via a MakerWare menu option. It would be a bonus if MakerWare stopped and started its service as it opens/closes. I know I can disable services via the service control panel, but that wouldn't be very helpful...

Feature Request: Turn Off Makerware Services Option

I wonder if consideration might be given to adding a new menu option to switch off the MakerWare services? Or if they are running when a print via USB starts, to offer an option to switch them off and continue. It's a pain in the butt going thru all the preparation and issuing a start command, only ...

[ADDED] Layer printing sequence

This is really something which might be considered, rather than a specific feature request. I have recently been making use of MakerWare. One of the features that I really like about MakerWare compared to S3D is that as MW starts each layer it quite literally draws 2 copies of each element and the b...
