Re: Slicing adds new surface in middle of hollow area

Is it similar to this: http://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=65 My workaround was to import the stl file, add the build operation process, save it as a factory file, open the factory file and then prepare the g-code, it slices properly. If the stl is imported and prepared directly then...

Re: Wont print.

It looks like your heated bed never gets up past 24.7. So it won't run until both the extruder and heated bed are up to the temperatures that were set in the profile when the g-code was created. Do you preheat the platform and get it up to temperature before you try to run the g-code? Otherwise you'...

Re: How to determine why a print fails?

Here are the changes I made to the firmware posted in the link above so that it works with 1/16 microstepping (http://makergear.wikidot.com/m2-firmware). I noticed that the z-axis homing speed is very slow in the above firmware link so I changed that to something closer to the factory setting. I'm i...

Re: How to determine why a print fails?

On the M2 the Z-axis is so smooth that the bed will fall to the bottom if the Z motor is unpowered. I've only had my M2 running for a day and find this annoying. It's not a problem on machines like the mendel where the threaded rod will hold the Z axis in place when unpowered. It can be changed by i...

Re: Temperature not displaying for heated bed

The Marlin version is 1.0.0 RC1 on a Gen6 board. The strange thing is that is had been working up until creator 1.1.2. I have been meaning to update Marlin to the latest version so I'll do that today.

Re: Temperature not displaying for heated bed

I uninstalled the 64-bit version and installed the 32-bit and it has the same problem.

Temperature not displaying for heated bed

I just installed Creator 1.1.2 64-bit on Win-7 and notice that the heated bed temperature display box isn't updating. It's also not showing up on the temperature plot. The communication window shows that the M105 is returning the proper temperature so it won't affect printing. Thanks for releasing a...

Re: Need help "laying-down" objects when importing

Command-left-click allows you to position the object on the bed. Double clicking on the object will open a window that will let you rotate the object. Under Rotational Offsets try 90 deg on either X or Y axis rotation until you get the bottom on the platform. After that, If it looks like half of the...
