Re: 2.2.2 is almost perfect for dual extruder prints

I'll retest it again one of these days.. Last time I checked the temperature points didn't make it in the gcode at all or were on the wrong layers entirely. The issue with the hbp isn't a gpx issue. It's in the gcode. You can fix the gcode manually and run it through gpx and print correctly. @dennis...

Re: 2.2.2 is almost perfect for dual extruder prints

I've done the opposite quite a bit... set the 2nd extruder to turn off when I was done using it. You can do that pretty easy and I I assume you could do the opposite easily to by just setting the temperature to what you want several layers before you need it. Unfortunately, the method breaks down re...

Re: purge walls for dual printing (and singel)

Agreed, I've tried every hack everyone has ever posted on this with S3D on these forums. They all have shortcomings and don't work that well. You can't reliably control order of objects, you can't quite get the layer gcode to operate when you want it to, temperature issues etc. It's just not there y...

Re: Can I Choose Process By Layer

It's on the advanced tab. You'll add the two processes, then on the first process->advanced you can choose to stop at a certain height. On the 2nd process->advanced you can then start at that height.

You'll need to be careful of extruder heating/purging but the concept is pretty straight forward.

Re: Tips for using Simplify 3D with Creator Pro

If you search you can find alternate starting gcode that prints a line (like makerbot) does instead of just purging into a spot. That can alleviate back pressure concerns. The build dimensions are on the other tab in the process if you have the option checked to update the machine config.. or you go...

Re: Memory Leak

Well it appears over the multiple versions memory management isn't much of a priority for you guys. Sure is annoying though. Wish it would get some attention. Instruments->memory profile...you know. Just find out where it's all going and remove your hanging refs :) :) Really... basic stuff here ;) S...

Re: Filament Diameter for Each Extruder

You would need to choose 0 layer permitters, 0 top layers, 0 bottom layers and 0 infill in the support process. Does support actually generate if you do that? Much easier to just choose the 2nd extruder for the support extruder in the 1st process and now that they have the settings for top support l...

Re: Show your printings done with Simplify3d

.14 layer height. Used S3D option to print infill every other layer for speed. Nice end result. Printed in ABS.

Re: Show your printings done with Simplify3d

Added a thread on this a while back, but thought I'd post a pic anyway. Lots of pieces... all S3D.
