Re: S3D creates blank layers on multiple processes

Ok after spending most of the last few days on this I have a mostly decent workaround. Because when doing multiple processes the preview creates almost triple the layers for the first process, setting temperature changes based on those layers won't work. On top of that, for some reason, when using t...

Re: Cooling Fan Control Between Processes

Do you believe if I set all my temp settings in the first process and delete them all from subsequent processes that might work? Edit: doesn't let me, requires at least one setpoint. If I try to give it a setpoint just for the layers that the process handles (such as layer 23 for the top of the prin...

Re: Cooling Fan Control Between Processes

I'm having this same problem with temperature control on multiple processes. I currently have a topic on here about weird previews with multiple processes and as I've been troubleshooting it I've run into not being able to control my temperature correctly. I'm trying to do dual extrusion and keep on...

Re: S3D creates blank layers on multiple processes

Using the setting under the Advanced tab for "Start/Stop at N Height" takes away all the blank layers (except it looks like when my temp changes, it changes back to its original setting a couple layers later... more testing required). Anyone know why this is happening? I'm having no problem recreati...

[FIXED] S3D creates blank layers on multiple processes

Hello, I had another topic where I thought this issue was related to the ooze shield. The ooze shield issue I have is still an issue, but one I can deal with. A more immediate concern of mine is that when I create more than 1 process, manually or through the dual extrusion wizard, S3D creates multip...

Re: Ooze Shield Alternating extruders when set not to

It's still weird. It works but if I preview it layer by layer each layer is a separate piece of what should be there for the lower part. Like one layer will be empty, the next layer will show the ooze shield, then the next layer will show a layer for that model, and then finally a layer will show wi...

Re: Ooze Shield Alternating extruders when set not to

Figured out the problem. It's a weird one. Once I learned that I could see which toolhead was active via the drop down I was able to rapidly change settings and check them in the preview (mine was always set to show speed) Original issue: Process 1 was set to Right extruder for the ooze shield (firs...

Re: Ooze Shield Alternating extruders when set not to

It's just one color for 60 layers, then the second color on the other extruder. However, I am using a profile with the "Auto-Configure Extruders" option set to Both. Should I set one process to left and one process to right extruder? Is that why it's automatically alternating even when I'm setting i...

Re: Ooze Shield Alternating extruders when set not to

The only time the ooze shield extruder alternates is if you are using multiple extruders on the same or alternating layers. If you are using the same extruder for 10 layers or something like that, the ooze shield extruder stays the same. Do you have large numbers of layers where you are only using ...

Re: PLA below 225°C wont stick to bed

Hi there, I am a new user to the forum but my first instinct is that your issue is a mislabeled filament reel. There should never be a PLA reel that does not extrude at the temperature you describe. I believe you are printing with a filament reel of ABS or similar high temperature filament. I'm not ...
