Issue with "Require Min Extrusion for Retraction"

Some of my parts end up with lots of short loops in areas. Was excited to see this option as it would save some time in those areas. The issue with it is that if the next move is a long traverse, it happens without a retraction and leaves a zit on the part at the other end of the travel. I don't hav...

[FIXED] Print Infill Before Perimeters generates no perimeters

Factory File Attached.
Thought I'd try printing infill before perimeters to eliminate ooze zits on long travel moves.
If I select that option on the LAYERS tab, S3D 5.1 doesn't generate any perimeters, only the single extrusion fill on this model. It does not have any standard infill.

Re: Keep rotation values

Agree. As far as I'm concerned, NOTHING that alters the model size or position should be a destructive change.

Freudian slip, I'm guessing - which these days means auto-correct - but 'Fictional V5' still seems to be a thing.
Fictional/functional ... tomato tomahto.

Re: V5 drops a turd

I export my models with a high level of detail, so STL errors should not be a significant factor. I've never seen these in 4.1.2

Re: V5 disappointments

I requested a refund on my V5 "upgrade". Functionally it's a step backwards from V4 and unusable for my work. With the reputation S3D has built for over-promising and under-delivering I'm not willing to let them take my money on their word that they will get it right soon. I hope they do. ...

Re: ; **** end of end.gcode **** doesn't report filament length to Duet Web Control

A script change in the footer should not be necessary. S3D should conform to standards and not change things willy nilly that add no value and break functionality with 3D printers.

Re: Who were the V5 beta testers?

So 5.0 is a public beta, and you're asking existing users for $60 to test it and provide feedback on how to make a usable product. Nice.

Re: Was hoping V5 would eliminate these short segments

I sent a factory file to support already. Changing the overlap moves them to different parts of the print, but doesn't eliminate the short perimeter loops.
