Re: Need help with Klic-N-Print 3D printer

I use a the generic S3D Makerbot Replicator 1 Dual profile and it works, but the scale of the models is off. Have you checked the steps per mm? Tools -> Firmware Configuration -> X3G x3g_steps_1.JPG Long time since using replicators, but the genuine ones were a bit different by using a 17 teeth pul...

Re: [Off-topic] Some help would be nice.

Can't really say much about this, because I always brought my car to the garage and let them do their magic. Depending on your insurance you don't have to pay for windshield replacements here in germany, so as airscapes mentioned this might be different... I've been through a lot of windshields. One...

Re: Extrusion Multiplier for first layer Please

Wish Granted! :) Just a note: Check if your printer does support M221 and what parameters it's using before adding this. This is dependent on the firmware running on the machine, older ones like Sailfish don't understand M221, others (RRF) might require a "Dxx" instead of "Txx".

Re: Script is not working in second process

While experimenting with multicolor printing I found a strange issue, that might be a bug: I have two processes in my factory and second contains commands for filament changing: {REPLACE "; layer 50" "M600\n; layer 50"} {REPLACE "; layer 80" "M600\n; layer 80"...

Re: Unnecessary Extrusions Above Windows

I have a print of a building with exterior windows and doors. It's hard to tell from the screenshot... but if the windows are far enough "inside" the slicer might try to close the resulting gaps with bottom/top solid infill. Please have a look at this picture, I tried to recreate what I c...

Re: Filling horizontal holes

That's caused by model geometry. You can clearly see how the outer perimeter does form a "c" shape. Inspect your model, I bet that feature can be found there or there's something wrong (intersecting). Make sure single extrusions for external perimeters are disabled, perimeter overlap isn't...

...and would like to simplify workflow as much as possible. Depending on the structure of your object you might want to have a look at IdeaMaker. There's a "displacement" function, which will use a given picture as a height map to create structure on walls. Sometimes this is enough to com...

Re: Gap between the model and raft

Guys, please help me to figure out why I am getting one-lyer gap between model and raft. https://www.simplify3d.com/support/articles/rafts-skirts-and-brims/ "Separation Distance – This is an important setting that defines the height of the air gap between the raft and your part. Typically, hav...

Re: Swap inside and outside shells

Thank you, parallyze , but this option is already turned on. I have resigned with low quality inside and ended up with adjusting relief details/scale on the model. For clay it more or less acceptable. Hmm.... if it doesn't slice as a solid with "Merge all outlines" enabled, then there's p...

Re: Swap inside and outside shells

Unfortunately model thickness gives nothing, I suppose topologi is the key. How S3D distinguish inside/outside of the model ? If the model does have outward pointing normals all around, like seen on some of the screenshots, you might consider enabling "Merge all outlines into a single solid mo...
