Re: Tree supports Tree supports Tree supports

Trees with dense supports on top would be awesome.

Re: Speed settings for supports

Look at bridging speed and minimum bridging area so smaller areas are recognized as bridges. You can reduce the speed for bridges and change the extrusion rate. I have mine at 90% speed and 90% extrusion. thanks for your reply. But I'm afraid you didn't get mу question right. Sorry, it was my fault ...

My bet is you have support expansion distance turned on and it isn't needed. Post the model or the factory file.

Re: v5.0.2 Amazing ON-Air supports!

It has to do with your support horizontal offset. Probably don't even need supports in that notch. If the corners of that notch don't need to be square, can add a fillet radius which would further lessen the need for supports. First we had Holidays On Ice. Now we have Supports On Air! LOL Captura de...

Calibrate your filament density.

Decided to do some calibration in that area. The last print I did including all supports came in at 172g. Easy calibration, I set the g/cm3 lower and resliced until I got that number or very close to it. Out of the box the profile is 1.25g/cm3 and I ended up with more like 1.03g/cm3. The larger the ...

Re: Ironing

Once you get it most filaments use the same settings for a solid top layer. Just need to adjust the filament diameter if it is too far off from a nominal size. Extrusion width at or below the nozzle size is a good start, but you have to adjust flow downward to compensate.

Re: Ironing

I just used ironing for the first time last night, using PrusaSlicer. I would have been using ironing for a lot of things I used to print with S3D, had it been available. I was VERY disappointed to find that it wasn't included in Ver. 5 after waiting years for its release, and seeing constant reque...

Re: V5 disappointments

Dissapointed as well ... none of the new features is worth to upgrade price with reduced number of licenses ... after 2 days of testing I return my license and stick with V4 (and other slicers who offer significant improvements and are definitely faster adding new stuff). So far I've been sticking ...
