Re: Any idea why its splitting up the layers like this?

BTW for those experiencing this flaw. you may also have to change SOLID INFILL SPEED to be 100% as well. I set top layer to 100% but I was still getting split layers. I changed solid fill to 100% and that fixed it.

Re: Any idea why its splitting up the layers like this?

the issue is not seperate speed for expose top layers. the issue is the software deciding that a top layer is not a single part and therefore splitting it apart. this is not an opinion. this is a fact. I have not given you my opinion. I stated a fact. you can't print in mid air. the software should ...

Re: Any idea why its splitting up the layers like this?

(speed, flow rate, spacing, etc), then those regions need to be printed separately from the regular solid fill. Otherwise you would be extruding at 200 mm/s, 100% flow, but then expected to immediately slow down to 50 mm/s and potentially 120% flow in the same movement. The flow and speed cannot cha...

Re: Any idea why its splitting up the layers like this?

I have an honest question. are the people coding the software or determining what it does UNFAMILIAR with 3D printing? You can not print in mid air. that is never going to work. the software should NEVER do something that results in printing in mid air unless the user for some silly reason explicitl...

Re: Any idea why its splitting up the layers like this?

so the team added a bug accidentally and now you found a work around to the bug by adjusting top layer speed? yes it is a bug. doing that is stupid. its literally intentionally printing end points in "mid air" gravity would like to speak to the team :-) hehehe Seriously though. I hope they...

Re: Any idea why its splitting up the layers like this?

Huh IMG_20230529_172208.jpg Huh x 7 IMG_20230529_172201.jpg Chill my friend. I DO have some clue as to what I am doing. The entire POINT of all the work I am putting into this model is to eliminate the need for infill is so I can gain the full benefit of using transparent/translucent filaments. This...

This is guarenteed to fail. it can't work. any idea why its doing this? why its "splitting" the layer into segments for some reason?

Re: 2 Bugs found - grouping process does not take model selection changes

looks like grouping might be broken. I Just tried to alter temps for a PETG print and it only changed the temp for the FIRST process and not the other 5 parts of the grouping. this is something that worked correctly before. OR because each process had a different temperature S3D "separated"...

2 Bugs found - grouping process does not take model selection changes

Place one model on the bed. make it multi process. in my example I needed 6 processes now I want to print 4 of these in different orientations to take advantage of co extrusion color change effects. also wanted sequential (vase mode) so I grouped the 6 processes together into one group. First bug. w...

Re: Minimum Extrusion command being ignored

Which would be odd since single extrusion is not related to infill but only walls.

ie a bug.
gearsawe wrote: Sat Apr 22, 2023 7:14 pm min extrusion seem to be applied to infill items. Not wall.
have seen it remove small infill area not just single infill lines
