Re: Bug Report: Missing Title Bar

Hi Chir, I think you may have accidentally dragged the Simplify3D window title bar off-screen. To get it back, hold down the Shift key and right-click on its icon in the Taskbar. This will pop up a few options that will allow you to get the title bar back onto your screen. The options unavailable wi...

Re: S3D very crashy suddenly lately

Hi Nerys. Due to the way S3D saves the profiles, you can get a corruption that spreads across all profiles that are opened after the crash. The best you can do is export each profile in turn (you can only export one at a time!) to a folder on your computer. If the resulting file is zero length, or i...

Re: Where can I download the older (functioning...) version?

I've never uninstalled a release of S3D yet. Consequently, I have every release from v3.0.1 available to run at will. Pretty much the same. Have gone back to v4.0.1 after find a really cool bug where if I rotated a part 90 degrees in Z and centred the object, it would invert and flip onto the under...

+1

However, I would stake my life on this having less than 0% of ever happening.

Re: Error:Save ToolPaths to Disk

Probably totally unrelated, but I found that Kaspersky AV was getting a bit enthusiastic and intercepting disk writes when slicing with S3D earlier in the year. Writes would randomly fail.

Removing KAV solved that issue.

Re: Dual Extrusion Crash

Hi Peter, I too use S3D for printing with a couple of FFCP printers as it makes life easy - mostly. I've had quite a few email exchanges since the end of 2016 about QT5Core crashes on Windows when slicing for an FFCP. There are a few cases here and there where others have suffered the same. As far a...

Re: Ooze-Shield bug still there

Thank you for looking at this.

Having a brim attached to large monolithic nylon/PC/ABS parts is essential when printing on open-volume printers and using an ooze-shield to keep the heat in.
Regards,
Susi.

Re: Bubbles on top layer

Hi Wayne, Without photos it's hard to guess. It's likely to be one of two things - Delamination due to it being extruded too cool (the surface will have a matt/silk-like finish) - try 240-245°C , or moisture - dry a full 1kg reel in a food dryer/dessicator at 55-60°C (or a preheated electric fan ove...

Re: Ooze-Shield bug still there

Thanks Aha,
I'd forgotten "Nerd's" complaint about purge/prime towers not having brims.
Good catch. :)
