Re: Aberrant massive retraction at the beginning of the prin

Well, the gcode file doesn't lie ;) There's nothing in that file that would cause an excessive retraction. It very clearly does a simple 2.8mm retraction at the beginning of the print. Nothing more. So if the extruder motor is doing all kinds of weird things, then it must be a firmware issue. Honest...

Re: Text Output has Changed

You can use the "terminal commands for post-processing" section on the Scripts tab to automatically run the convertor when you export the file

Re: Toolhead Offset

Have you checked your starting script to see if it has a hard-coded M218 value?

Re: One-way transparent "holes" when importing STL file

That means the surfaces are facing the wrong way. They talk about it here - https://www.simplify3d.com/support/tuto ... sh-errors/

Re: Non negative extrusion distance.

Why in the world would you want S3D to do that? It means it won't ever be able to retract during the first few layers of your print, which will produce terrible quality. If this is really true, it's most definitely a firmware bug that wanhao needs to fix. There's absolutely no reason that any slicin...

Re: Supports being added back after removal

If you have "support generation" enabled in your process, you're telling it that you want support added. So if you want one part with support and one without, then you need to create 2 separate processes, one for each model. Then you can disable support generation in the one that applies t...

Re: How to add z-hop. extruder sratching surface

You can't do a z-lift unless you're done a retraction beforehand, otherwise it just oozes all over and creates a mess. So if you want it to z-lift, even when it's just moving over it's own internal layer, then go to the Advanced tab and disable "only retract when crossing open spaces".

Re: Is S3D still actually being developed?

They track feature requests and bug reports here, so I'm not surprised they monitor it quite closely

Re: Slowness on start

Check your Z-axis movement speed on the Other tab. That determines what speed the Z-axis is asked to move at from the software. If you set that really low, it will move slowly.

Re: Extruder light - Target Temp not working in Machine Cont

It's working fine for me when I print x3g files. Can you post your x3g file? Maybe it's something specific in that file..
