Re: External Infill Angle Offsets

I've just posted an updated version of the Settings document: additional images and PDF bookmark / outline to allow quick access.

Re: External Infill Angle Offsets

Here's my first cut at two documents that may be useful: A collection of documentation on S3D Parameters and Settings from various sources (76 pages / 2.8 MB): http://www.BreathFlute.com/pdf/S3D_SettingsCG.pdf ... and a detailed Comparison of twelve "core" profiles from various sources (in...

Re: External Infill Angle Offsets

Thanks so much ! For my own sanity, I have collected all the "documentation" I could locate, including the Tip of the Day posts from Jan-Feb 2015 that you cited. Putting them together into a single document which serves, for me at least, as some sort of manual. I'll share it on this forum ...

External Infill Angle Offsets

Could someone enlighten me on the Infill => External Infill Angle Offsets setting?

There seems to be no tooltip for this field in 4.0.1, or any documentation that I can locate.

How does it differ from / modify / relate to the External Fill Pattern setting?

Re: Updates to S3D-Supplied Profiles

I could also imagine a handy tool that compares two profiles and points out changes.

I'm currently using a Unix <diff> command on the .fff XML files, which is workable but not ideal.

Updates to S3D-Supplied Profiles

Wondering if there is a way to know / tell / be notified when S3D modifies the profiles they provide for a given model of printer. I note some significant changes in, for example, the Prusa i3 Mk3 profile, but the only way that I can figure it out is to run Help=>Configuration Assistant and ( labori...

Re: Hacking the FFF Profile - Take control of materials, quality and extruders

I've updated the post with notes regarding the FFF's XML format and what happens when you make a mistake. Cool ... a tool to check for syntactic errors in the XML, but you are (of course) in undefined territory for semantic errors. It's the job of the S3D GUI to prevent those semantic errors. For m...

Re: Initial Layer Horizontal Expansion

Horizontal Size Compensation in mm or %age?? ... Which would you really want to use??? Thanks Doug! If I've got a single model, either would work, and mm would probably be preferable. If this is a profile for multiple objects, and the problem crops up repeatedly, I suspect that %age would be more u...

Wow ... Excellent work ... and thanks from those of us who like "Bare-metal programming"!

Any idea of S3D's reaction to a typo / compilation error?

Re: Short Cut Keys

The [Ctrl]+ shortcuts are a good start, but for those without specific [Ctrl] codes ... Would it be possible to implement the MS GUI standard that allows use of [Alt]+ codes to navigate menus? I am currently doing the (onerous, mind-numbing) task of exporting all my .FFF files (before a reset to dia...
