Re: Gyroid Infill Crashes V5

Sinusoidal also crashes it when set above 15%. There are no odd settings or anything complex. simple straight forward print. The crash takes place while it is "parsing build file". The green progress bar gets to the end and it acts like it is about to display the resulting slice and the p...

Re: Gyroid Infill Crashes V5

I setup a simple block that size on a stock cr10max profile and got the same crashes. Fwiw the v4 honeycomb did the same thing.

Re: Infill Type Question.

I'd try wiggle rotated 45 degrees, see pic. If the infill shrinks the pattern should stretch out instead of pulling sides in. Screen Shot 2023-02-17 at 5.09.58 AM.jpg Sinusoidal would be similar as the "tubes" should deform before distorting the outer shell. Screen Shot 2023-02-17 at 5.12....

Re: Powerspec Ultra 2.0 vs Simplify 3d 5.0

Mechanically it is a clone, however the ultra/2.0 used the LCD panel that consumes gcode files. If I remember correctly, the Powerspec Ultra 2.0 is a direct clone of FlashForge's Creator Pro (and Dreamer) printers. Those printers use binary-encoded GCODE (.x3g format). In S3D v5, add a process to yo...

Re: Adding supports changes x/y Dimensions.

Sure, I don't think it matters though as this isn't the only part i've seen it on. This is a 3mf, stl does it too. As soon as you add supports it goes from 22mm to 24mm. It doesn't print any different but sure is confusing when I made a 22mm part and it is showing as scaled.

Adding supports changes x/y Dimensions.

So I start out with a 22mm diameter round part with a center hub. I add supports to the middle and now the part is 24mm, even though no supports are outside the 22mm perimeter.

definitly a bug
Yep same here, found out the hard way by waisting a day chasing this around, what the hell man?
Ya, best thing to do now is note what you scaled everything at. If need to change scaling, reset all transforms and then change the value to a new percent.

I don't think it is a bug, it is probably related to how S3d "connects" to a STL/3MF file for auto updating. It might be how that feature was designed to work. Maybe it could be refactored hold the percentage and orientation values like before.

Re: Why only one activation is allowed now?

You have a couple options now... Use the office machine to connect to the running version of S3d in the shop. It isn't too bad to do this. Or in the office machine save out a factory file and the file format your printer needs and save both to server. Go to shop and load factory file or print file ...
