Re: Anybody running S3D on Windows 11?

S3D and Windows 11 running smoothly here.

I did intsall a few tweaks to restore some Windows 10 functionality I didn't want to lose. No rocket science involved....

btw...don't tell anyone, but Windows 11 is Windows Vista with four sets of cosmetic changes applied. ;)

Re: Raft not placed under all of the model

You're on the right lines for getting your print sorted. But you need to move the model down a tiny bit...rather than up! The problem is that the bottom of the model is not flat...and the slicer only sees the model touching the build plate at the low spots. Moving the model down will put the low spo...

Re: Surfaces not printing smooth

For starters, you'll never get a "perfect" finish on the underside of parts over support material. This is why 3D printing is such a black art for some people. Having said that, lets see if you can improve over what you have so far. Rather than throwing values at you saying "Try that&...

Re: Perimeters Not Bonding.

Not knowing what its set at, I can't suggest what to increase it to.....but try increasing the outline overlap.

There again, looking at the gaps in the top surface, I'm wondering if your extrusion multiplier might need increasing......again, from and to, is anybody's guess!

Re: "Choose Start Point Closest to Specific Location" HOW?

The xy coordinates are the coordinates of the bed of YOUR machine....and not anything to do wit the model. This majes giving an "easy" answer impossible....so you'll need to work the answer out yourself. If you go to "preview" mode for a print, the XYZ gizmo ( the red/green/blue ...

Re: the desired binary xg3 fije was not created

That error has something to do with the gpx.exe failing to create its output file...namely an x3g file.

Suggest you check a couple of things....write permissions in the directory the file should be written, and possibly a space issue.

Re: Loose seams. Missing part

Have a read of this thread:

It explains a super simple way of sorting out issues where multiple parts are put together in some 3D packages.

Re: Difference in curved surfaces

Now take a look at the 3D model that you printed the model from. My guess is that you'll see distinct faces in the mode that coincide with the flats on the model. Remember, any 3D shape is made up a mesh of points joined by straight lines. To get a smoother "curne" you'll need to add more ...
