Re: NinjaFlex w/ FF Creator Pro

This just shouldn't be. Can you post your factory file so that others can view it? Maybe something is messed up in the settings that you've overlooked?

Re: Painters tape peeling off bed during print

I print on PET tape. It's much better than BuildTak, blue painter's tape or kapton tape, if you have a heated build plate. It's far more durable than all three. I've printed hundreds of things on a single piece of PET tape! It still doesn't need replacing yet. ABS sticks well to PET tape at 105 C. P...

Re: NinjaFlex w/ FF Creator Pro

Dunginhawk, that's just not right. I have a FlashForge Dreamer and it's got pretty much the same print head as the Creator Pro. I do have a special drive block installed for flexible filament. Other than that, it's pretty much identical. I print NinjaFlex with a 1.0 extrusion multiplier, 20 mm/s (30...

Re: Infill has gaps between each line of infill

You're never going to get great results for a complex lithophane on any slicer. For simple ones you can get decent results, but the one in your picture is tough for a 3D printer that uses FFF technology. I have tried doing lithophanes of people using several different slicers and they all came out p...

Re: Simplify3D not matching printed part

A lot of slicers show this type of problem when walls are too thin for a minimum of 3 lines of filament. Without having your model or factory file, it's hard to know how thin that portion of your model is. JoeJ's advice will sometimes work if the wall isn't too thin. If the wall is too thin, then Jo...

Re: NinjaFlex w/ FF Creator Pro

maybe i am doing things differently. First, it is GRASS GREEN ninjaflex :) so ill try even slower. i think i did 30-40mm/s last time. Yea, that's the NinjaFlex green color that I have. That had to be printed slower than the red. It took me a long time to figure out what was going on. I would print ...

Re: NinjaFlex w/ FF Creator Pro

Im not sure if its the .4mm nozzle or what my issue is but when S3D slices and extrudes the bead is so thin coming out that a double layer wall is actually separated by a gap. How fast are you printing? If you attempt to print NinjaFlex too fast that will happen for sure. I print at about 20 mm/s t...

Re: Not-a-Raft

This is interesting. 1" cube, cut short, printed with no compensation. Check that taper on the lower 2.6mm! Over extrusion could cause that if the cube is hollow with a solid floor. The floor of the cube, if over extruded, is going to bulge out more than the side walls because there's more pla...

Re: NinjaFlex w/ FF Creator Pro

Try using eSUN printer cleaning filament to remove filament from your print nozzle before using NinjaFlex. If I don't clean the head, then during a print, I some times see specs of burnt plastic extrude with the NinjaFlex. It looks very ugly. I see this problem with NInjaFlex more than with other fi...

Re: Simplify3D File ICON

Oooo that would be nice! Does that actually work on OS X and Windows? I'm guessing you have to save some type of metadata file for the OS to use. This can be easily done on both OS X and Windows. On Windows it's called "thumbnail" view, on OS X its called icon view. Both operating systems...
