Re: Your firmware does not support real-time speed changes.

Hi Rich, It's odd you were able to do it with 3 but not version 4, however, as you said the firmware version is also different. I would just check with another program because that would immediately tell you whether the issue is with upgrading from 3->4, or if it's the different version of the firmw...

Re: Your firmware does not support real-time speed changes.

I've never used a Flashforge Printer, but should it support real-time speed adjustments? Can you make real-time adjustments with other software (e.g. Cura)?

Re: How do I get gyroid infill pattern in Simplify3D?

S3D doesn't support gyroid as an infill option. Thanks for posting that video, it was interesting, but I don't think the conclusion was gyroid is the best infill. "Strength" is extremely design and function dependent, and there's a lot of other variables that were not commented on that can...

Re: Where is version 4.1?

I would still say S3D is the better slicer vs Cura (3.4.1, I think the newest?). S3D has its idiosyncrasies for sure, but it's still the best slicer I've used. I think those of us using it are going to continue to use it regardless of x updates in y time frame. It works well, and off the top of my h...

Re: My Bed temperature fluctuates(UPDATED)

If the OP's issue only exists in S3D (assuming the OP has rigorously tested that statement), then I don't see how it's a cable, EMI, or anything else hardware related since that should be software independent. Seems like a send/receive issue between S3D and the controller. I've had similar issues wi...

Re: Question about extrusion width

More details would be helpful. What material? Is the 40 mm/s for the perimeter (shells) and the top/bottom layers? Are you cooling? If so, what's the cooling setup? Single? Dual? What printer are you using? Why do you have 7 top and bottom layers? Why not have 2 and use 100% infill if you want a sol...

Re: Problems Dialing in my PETG Settings

Hi, In general, I would say your biggest issues are speed/cooling with some tweaks needed to extrusion. Bottom of Part bottom pic.jpg From what I see, you are printing with no supports, which explains the extrusion mess I marked. If the bed is 75-80C, there's no way those layers are cooling down eno...
