Re: Profile Not Saving

Try reviewing the exported FFF file with a text editor. It is an XML file, and it should be pretty clear what each setting corresponds to. See if whatever settings you are missing are in there.

Re: Print pausing at random intervals

I have read that it is caused by ground loops; the printer doesn't share ground with the host computer and there is ground bounce on the USB cable. Maybe I'm not understanding that correctly.

Out of curiosity, does your printer share the same power outlet as your printer?

Re: Start Printing at height ....

Right after the gcode that completes your priming sequence, and before the move to the start of print, insert a "G1 Z[height] F[speed]". The first G1 move that has a Z value of your print start height is the one you are looking for. You want to raise the print head before it moves to the s...

Re: Automatic Pause Function

There is not. I brought this up with Clayton in email recently and pointed out the functionality in Repetier Host and Octoprint. He agreed it would be a good idea and would send it along to the developers.

Re: Wider extrusion width for first layer...

If you do not want a first layer flange, you need to have first layer height at 100% so that it prints like any other layer. I've checked the gcode, and changing the first layer height does not adjust the extrusion speed to match the layer height. That is, if you print a first layer at 50% of .20mm,...

Re: Print pausing at random intervals

Can happen when a firmware response is missed. Try always printing from SD card and see if it still happens.

Re: Gaps between outer wall and infill

No, the factory file, which will be your model and the FFF all rolled up into one. Under the file menu, there should be a save as factory file option.

Re: Documentation

Upload to SD is not a good thing, but Print from SD is a great thing. No communications-induced slowdowns on curved arcs with lots of segments. No possibility of stalling the print when one of your USB external drives decides it wants to spin up.
