Re: printing without raft

After you import the STL, you should just need to hit the "Arrange" button in Creator. It will center the part and align the bottom of the part (as it sees it) with the surface of the bed. Can also try the "Drop" button. Perhaps run the model through some of the checks to make su...

Re: PERCENT INDICATOR

22Mil, This is on an M2, right? Here are a few things I would check --- others are welcome to chime in if I missed something. 1. Be sure the card is already in the slot when you connect with the machine control panel. 2. After you connect, check the communications log window. There should be a messa...

Re: PERCENT INDICATOR

22Mil, It appears for me when I do a print by saying "Yes" I want to print after stopping the preview of a G-code file in the main Creator window. It does not appear if I print from SD card. I don't remember if it appears if I select the file to print in the in the list on the Machine Cont...

Re: PLA High quality profile doesn't "cap" parts

Bowmaster,

Are you using Kaink's 15-18% adjustment, or the 5% default, or ??? Other details on material, settings, etc? Nice print! My top surfaces are still just a tad rough -- I'm using 20% infill and 3 top layers.

Re: unable to upload STL files into Creator software

22M., Are you exporting STL files from a 3D CAD package yourself, or are these STL files you downloaded from a web site (e.g., Thingiverse)? If you are working with a 3D CAD package, it would help other folks here if you could let us know what package --- others who use it could guide you in the pro...

Re: I can not see any preview to create the G-code

Thorsten, As I type the following reply, I am assuming you are new to Creator. Please accept my apologies if my assumption is incorrect and you already know this stuff!!! Did you move the sliders at the bottom of the Preview window and check the checkboxes for what to show (extrudes, fast moves, ret...

Re: how small

22MIL2DAY, Typically I print with a layer thickness of 0.2 mm, a lot of people use 0.15 or 0.1 mm. MakerGear has done some experimental prints down to 0.02 mm layer thickness (20 microns) with some amazing detail. Search the MakerGear forum for answers like this. Lots of this sort of stuff has been ...

Re: Default Configuration (M2)

jb, In the FFF Settings window, click the spin button to the right of the "Load Profile" box and select MakerGear M2. See the attached picture. (Sorry for the green tint. Screenshot in Linux Mint captured its own highlighting for some reason....) I believe that will load the default. There...

Re: Can't connect to Solidoodle 3

Techbuilder, If it's going REALLY slow, you probably copied your mm/sec values from your other software. Everything in Creator is in mm/min, so multiply by 60. Here are the places where you set up speeds: When you add your "Process" (FFF), double-click that to open up the FFF Settings wind...

Re: Recurring Blob Pattern

I can confirm that the Z-lift / retraction / fast move sequence was fixed in 1.1.5. I wonder what else (possibly not listed in the release notes?) was fixed from 1.1.4 to 1.1.5. Is it just my settings, or did the blobs go away? (See attached photo... note the short outer face in the center of the pi...
