Re: Setting machine z height?

The Z-stroke I was talking about defines your build volume height (see screenshot) zstroke.png But it sounds like you're talking about something else. We are actually already working on some new features that will make this a breeze, such as defining what Z-heights you want to start and end printing...

Re: Setting machine z height?

It's called stroke in Creator. Go to Tools > Options (or Preferences on a Mac) and look at the right-hand side. The Z-axis stroke is what you're looking for. By default it's setup to match the M2 dimensions.

Re: Slicer fail

I'm glad you're starting to get some better settings figured out for your printer regardless of what software it is. There's some things for 3D printing that you will need to calibrate regardless of what program you end up using. The extrusion multiplier was a start, but I also think some experiment...

Re: Slicing error? Gcode missing some features/details

So I did some analysis on the STL and I think I at least have the reason for the missing feature nailed down. Let me make a few general suggestions first, just to help others that might be learning. Anytime you have issues with a model, the first thing I would do is go to Repair > Identify Non-Manif...

Re: Creator 1.0.4 Available Now

We already added path remembering to all of the file operations for the next release. That should fix the Run button path and FFF settings paths. You will have to browse to the correct path ONCE though before it will start remembering. The .fff config file format won't change, but there is a chance ...

Ideal Fan Control Settings

As we are preparing the next update, I thought it might be useful to poll the community about what their ideal fan control settings would be. If you could design your own settings tab for "Fan Speed", what would it look like? What kind of options and settings are you looking for? We could obviously ...

Re: Creator 1.0.4 Available Now

slipshine - That custom distance box should really always be a positive value. For example you might enter 0.1mm. Then when you press the positive button it will send: G91 ; relative mode G1 X0.1 ; make positive jog move G90 ; absolute mode If you press negative it moves that distance in the opposit...

Re: Marlin firmware on GEN6 electronics

Some of the older microcontrollers won't reset properly when a new serial connection is initiated, which is probably why you need to do it manually. Glad you got it working though! Let us know how the Mendel performs!

Re: 1.04 will not hold bed temp.

3dyeti, can you post the G-Code you're having issues with? The command to set the bed temperature is very straight-forward and it sounds like this is more likely an electronics or thermistor issue. If you use the Creator machine control panel and enter 100 degrees into the bed temperature input and ...
