Re: Machine control of M2 is goofy

That's a bug that's being fixed in 1.0.4, but you actually figured out a really creative way to get around it! We think it has to do with the extra blank lines in the gcode file since the software is waiting for a response, but obviously the empty line won't give one. Toggling monitoring on and off ...

Re: Bug reports: some helpful suggestios

You should be able to post pictures as an attachment. When making a post click the "Upload attachment" tab right below the posting window. Choose the file you want to upload and click "Add the file". Are those options showing up for you?

Re: Factory files, network workflow, auto perimeters, fan, g

The .factory files are intended to include all the models and processes in the current workspace. So you could have 12 models being sliced by 10 different processes (maybe it's every part you need to print for a new toy action figure), and you could save then entire thing to a single compressed file...

Re: Beginner questions and comments

Well in the short term, it looks like this problem is only related to printing while temperature monitoring is turned ON. To get around this: Print with temperature monitoring turned OFF Print from SD Card In reality, not having temperature monitoring during a build isn't much of a loss since Creato...

Re: Filament Extrusion/Retraction Method

Nice, I like that idea! Especially useful for the extruder. Saves you from having to enter a minus sign every time you want to back up.

Re: Filament Extrusion/Retraction Method

If you bring up the Machine Control Panel (Ctrl-P or Command-P on a Mac), you can select the Extruder axis. In particular for the extruder, I would suggest using the "Custom Jog" button to move a specified distance. For example select Extruder axis and enter 225mm/min for the speed. Then enter 20mm ...

Re: ETA of Download Link after purchasing.

MakerGear has been sending me purchase orders about once a day so I suspect you will have it by tomorrow. If you want it quicker than that, you can always email MakerGear and ask them to send me your info (since all you purchased was software). I'll send you the download information as soon as I get...

Re: Beginner questions and comments

Ketil, Someone else also saw some weird behavior using the old M2 firmware. If you look at the G-Code you're trying to print in Creator's preview window (or Repetier for that matter), I think you'll see that those odd random moves aren't in there. And it definitely isn't any kind of cooling strategy...
