Re: Software upgrade/patches with purchase?

We're absolutely going to treat our first batch of users well! :D The license will cover you for any incremental updates that we come out with, and in fact we've already had 2 updates since the release date! We've got a great development team so the software is only going to keep improving as we get...

Re: "Undo" Function?

I expect MakerGear will be updating their "Getting Started" guide to include the Creator software. We also plan to put together a complete set of video tutorials to walk you through common tasks. Our plan is to release those one at a time as we get them finished. The support page will be updated to ...

Re: getting started guide

It will let you install on up to 2 machines (presumably to cover a laptop and a desktop), so you should see any issues when activating on the second one. I'll PM you some additional steps to try, but I'm glad we were able to resolve the installation issues you were having

Re: "Undo" Function?

Travis, We were working on some undo functionality at one point, but the software does A LOT of different things. And because of that having an undo button for all of it was quite a challenge. In some cases it also meant wasting a lot of excess memory trying to maintain 2 versions of the same object...

Re: Manufacturing Process

You can add a new process using the "Add" button in the lower left (see screenshot). Then just double-click the process in the list view to edit it.

I know adding a "process" is a little different than normal, but we've got some big things in the works that are going to take advantage of this :D

Re: getting started guide

The good news is that if you got it to run, it's definitely compatible. It sounds like it's maybe just a permissions issue. What version of Linux are you running? Can you post the return code you get when running the application (I believe typing $? in the terminal after running it will give you tha...

Re: Makergear M2 specific settings

Well your picked the right software! We collaborated a lot with MakerGear, so the settings that the software comes stock with are actually already the state-of-the-art best settings we are using with our M2's. You should literally be able to load a part, slice, and print it without any extra configu...

Re: Small details

Ketil, I sent you a PM. Cube slices no problem and all the thin slices are maintained. It only took 0.06 seconds to generate the G-Code on my laptop too :D

Re: getting started guide

The software is a standard installation so it should be as easy as double-clicking on the new desktop icon. Can you tell me what path your software was installed at? On Ubuntu 12.10, ours is /opt/S3DCreator*. If you don't know or can't remember, you can always run the installer again up until the po...
