Re: unable to delete profile (re-appears)

just to make sure, could you try opening a terminal and screenshotting the output of what this command gives you:

Code: Select all

ls -l /Users/$USER/Library/Application\ Support/Simplify3D/Creator/

ABS (I'm assuming since your bed is 110C) handles overhangs (from my experience at least) better than PLA, and with ABS you actually want to print with warmer ambient temperature, whereas PLA has a better time with cooler ambient temps

Re: Adjustable Auto Arange

If you want to be able to import a model, arrange it, import a model, arrange that, etc without your models being automatically centered and arranged you can turn it off in the preferences > models > automatically center and arrange models

Re: Wipe While Retracting...

I'm surprised this thread is so old and they haven't done anything about it! Any tips on how to run that ruby script? I've installed NP++ and Ruby, definitely not much of a programmer. instructions are in the comments at the top of the script: #filepath = "/home/user/whatever.gcode" #chmod +x this ...

Re: Gcode to auto shutdown printer

If you want to manually override this so you don't have to wait for it to finish it's c...

Re: e3d chimera

I'm not sure I quite 100% understand the issue you're having, but for general use with the chimera: Two extruders in the extruder tab, one extruder temperature controller in the temperature tab. For dual extrusion with linuxcnc or a firmware that use's A's and B's use the post processing scripts: {T...

Re: Approach overhangs fron a non overhang direction

If this was happening to me (it has happened in the past) what I would do is try to increase adhesion to the bed. Whether this be through adhesive materials such as glue or adding a brim to the model (I usually add a brim if there's little surface area touching the bed) , Making sure the part sticks...

Re: Auto fine layers only when needed

If you want to do this right now, you could set up multiple processes and lower the layer height on regions with overhangs.
