what firmware version are you running on the da vinci and what OS do you have? Also, is the problem intermittent, or everytime you try to connect to the da vinci? Do you have any screenshots of the communication log of the Machine Control Panel when it won't connect?

Just to add a tip, try to do your leveling while the nozzle and bed are at the temperatures you print with to account for thermal expansion.

Yes I'm still waiting for the hex infill. Starting to wonder why I paid for this software if they don't listen to our requests. I made a request back when this thread started and still no hex infill. sooo... a TON of the newest features in the latest releases have included forum requested features....

Yep, tried that. I own two licenses of S3D and have it installed on a Mac Mini, iMac and my Macbook. All three do the same thing. I use s3d on a MacBook Pro and a Mac Mini and have yet to see this ever happen to me... Try going to: /Users/your_username/Library/Application Support/Simplify3D/Creator...

Make sure to export any profiles you want to keep so that you can re-import them later, then try going to Help > Reset All Settings

You may be inserting "smart quotes" instead of plain text. Make sure you're editing the file in a plain text editor and not something like MS Word. Another possibility is the line ending you're using. What OS (Mac, Windows, Linux) and what application are you using to edit the file? Yep this happen...
