Re: Colour tool in preview to show which extruder in use

you're correct, the colors in the G-Code Previewer are solely based off of print speeds

I think KBW just meant the "profile" under the Firmware Configuration tool, not the actual print profile

Re: Tip of the Day 7- Infill tab, a technical analysis

Infill extrusion width doesn't increase the width of infill except for where it crosses previous layers, it increases the depth - if you use only 2 orientations(45,-45) and 200%, it will make a relatively solid infill and not just be a pile of strings, it strengthens the part significantly, adding ...

I whipped up a quick cylinder and have sliced it to preview the toolpaths This is with the default profile in Simplify3D: Screen Shot 2015-01-14 at 11.45.10 ...

Re: Vertex Dual Head Offset

generally I would think this should be taken care of firmware-side by the manufacturer, but there is G-Code you can use to change the offset. Put in your starting Script: M218 X0 Y0 T0 M218 X20 Y20 T1 What this will do is set T0 as the 0,0 point, and then set T1 offset in relation to the T0, so meas...

Re: No support generated for this model

Try changing the resolution and threshold angle:

and then decreasing

Horizontal Offset From Part and the upper and lower vertical separtion in the support tab.
