Re: Monotonic Top/Bottom infill

Again, premium slicer needs premium features. Jason, add my vote, and don't limit yourself to just monotonic patterns. You guys have put plenty of effort into infill patterns and support patterns; how about top layer patterns with appropriate controls? Concentric top layer that doesn't suck? You guy...

Re: Ironing

Gearsawe, that sounds like a nice workaround, if it works, but it's still a workaround. S3D-Jake, S3D-Jason, and whoever else, this really does appear to be the kind of thing that people are expecting from a *premium* slicer. I'm looking forward to trying out the seam hiding, so thanks for paying at...

Re: Why only one activation is allowed now?

Loosing a seat really messes with my work flow. Like many others, I prep, slice, and preview in the office. Save a factory file to a server. In the shop load the factory file, and print. But without a second seat I can’t do that. In addition V4 doesn’t load v5 factory files, so that route is off th...

Re: V5 adding solid layers at random

Try fiddling with the model repair options.
I have seen similar unexpected membranes when working with models that had errors in the mesh in v4.1

Re: V5.01 ????

Ok, in 2016 when V4.00 came out, they released V4.01 in 3 days to fix all the bugs in the release. Then Released 4.05 a few days after that to fix all the bugs they thought they fixed in 4.01.... This kept going until 4.12 when they stopped working on V4 entirely. Now history repeats itself....agai...

Re: Licence V4 to V5

There are options for floating and offline licenses, in addition to improvements in managing and deploying the licenses. For all of the V5 license types you can only use the software on 1 computer at a time. If you have several computers, the new floating license may be a nice options since it seam...

Re: Horizontal Clearance for multi-process printing

Since you do a lot of multi process printing, I'm assuming you're already familiar with the guide page: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/articles/multi-part-printing/ It does say in there As you can see, most printers will be able to use sequential printing, but it may require some extra planning ...

Re: Will there ever be any updates?

I will, to put it mildly, go ballistic! Better start getting your coping strategies in place. We got this software for a printer at work a little less than a year ago, and I have had several people ask me about it. I tell them S3D has some really great features, but it is no longer in active develo...

Re: Where are the profiles - WIndows

The safest way looks like exporting profiles one by one, using File - > Export FFF Profile.
There doesn't appear to be an easy way.

Re: Trouble Above Supports

... and then i switched to a 0.4mm nozzle for a finer print ... With the smaller nozzle, do you still have the same drooping issue? I'm starting to suspect that an issue with our printer is an undersized cooling duct; it does an awful lot better with the .4 nozzle than the .8 nozzle on the other pr...
