Pull Tab

I have a printer without a heated bed and use GeckoTeck cold bed that makes my prints stick too well. I think a nice feature to add would be a brim with a pull tab. A thin printed tab you can either use to help pull the print up or it is printed at a slight angle to get a tool under.

Re: Pull Tab

A feature printed at a slight angle will require support, which would defeat the purpose of your tab.
Get a wood chisel - works great to lift the edge of a part off the build surface. Keep the back-side of the chisel flat against the plate so it doesn't gouge.

Re: Pull Tab

It is not free but if you hit your part with canned air liquid to make it very cold, it will come off the bed very easy.. (turn can upside down for liquid)

Re: Pull Tab

use printbite ( https://flex3drive.com/printbite/ ) it auto releases your print when cooled down (except TPU, TPU sticks cold too and is bit harder to remove so you have to use the scraper)
gcodestat integrates with Simplify3D and allow you to
Calculate print time accurately (acceleration, max speed, junction deviation all taken into consideration)
Embed M117 codes into G-Code
Upload your G-Code directly to Octoprint
