Support separation gap, raft speed, and auto arrange distance management

Fri Jun 01, 2018 2:33 pm

It would be great if there was a way to change the support separation gap to not just be a multiple of the layer height, but set to a gap like the raft to part gap. Sometimes I want to print something at .2 layer height, but know that it will lay down plastic better on support at 0.15mm.

The raft print speed should be something on the speed tab. The first layer, of course, can be controlled, but the solid interface layer cannot. At higher speeds that would fine for infill are not as good for solid flat layers. The plastic has a tendency to string and not lay down a smooth flat surface otherwise.

There should be some sort of bounding box you can set for the auto arrangement. Just a simple parameter like a 10mm gap between parts or something. The auto arrange seems so random and often places stuff too close together.

I also would lik to see this as an added feature.

I think raft and support separation gap should/could be the same. I have seen with other slicers and printers this actually works.

I had to print a lot of models with 0.3 mm layer height and the bottom surfaces just looked terrible because of the massive gap of the same layer height.

So please add an option to set a distance for support gap in stead of a number of layers.
