How do I save/load processes?

Fri Jul 20, 2018 6:29 pm

Why can't you just make it so when I make a process therevis a save option? So when I open S3D I get a list of processes I created to choose from rather than redoing a new process every time I slice a model. Trying to remember settings is becoming a pain in the butt.
Just a feature to look at adding to make the use of this easier.

I agree this is a big need. However, the way I get around it is to save an FFF profile once I get settings that I like. Then I can revert back to that (after saving the current one). It helps to rename the process every time, so you know the differences inside the process you've saved.

It's also possible to run a diff (I use winmerge) on the gcode file --- because simplify3d saves all the settings as readable comments at the top of the gcode, it should be easy to spot tiny changes in the process that way.

But yeah, all this is a pain in the rear. Having a save/load feature for just the process would make things a lot easier for me
