I already have several friends that use their 3D mice with S3D. It works just fine for moving, rotating, and panning the view. They just had to add a configuration in space pilot/connexion software. There's nothing special that you have to do in S3D to make it work.

That interface is no longer there - and if it is for you then you have older software.

Anyways, +1 from me - need this.

Bought my SpaceNavigator last week and I am already at the point of "you can only get it out of my cold dead hands"

Its so anoying to go back to conventional mouse navigation when you inspect the model and the toolpath preview.

Note that there is an opensource library which you can use for the implementation called libspnav (http://spacenav.sourceforge.net/), it is available under the 3-part BSD license, so it's perfectly fine for you guys to integrate in simplify3d!
