But why a raft and not a brim to maximize contact with the bed?

As a manual workaround, place the attached thin squares or disc to act as anchors under the supports that need better adhesion. Use the scale function to size the anchors appropriately. Manual support tool can help visualization of supports.

I totally agree here. I've pretty much quit using rafts due to this reason and switched to making my own custom helper shapes in 3d software to help the supports stick to the bed without the need for extra raft being printed where not needed.

My current workaround is to import small square and circle objects and scale them to fit under where the support will be.

This is about the 40th request for this feature.

I too started a thread on it sometime ago because I mainly print cylinders and rings for products I make; couldn't deal with a 20 minute raft and a 3 minute part.

I think the forum has spoken!
