Is S3D still actually being developed?

Looking at the last "update", it appears that, with the exception of added printer support, none of the "Feature Requests" were implemented.
Simplify3d posted a hiring position on September 14, 2015. Does anyone know if anyone was hired, or even if features are being added or improved? I am regretting paying $150 on software that is not actively being developed. I am having to use the other FREE slicers more and more and it's really disconcerting.

Hi jeevesme,

+1

good question! I want to know this as well!
Not only I want to know if S3D is still under development and if features are added or planned to be added.
Furthermore I want to know if the S3D team watches this forum frequently and gives some help on issues 'normal' user could not solve?

They literally just released an update a few weeks ago which had about 20 new changes and a bunch of improvements and bug fixes for many of the issues on this forum (https://www.simplify3d.com/software/release-notes/). If that's not active development, I don't know what is...

And as has been said many times, they have multiple reading and reviewing this forum every single day (viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5393). They have said that many times and every time I email them about something on here, they already know about it and probably read it before I did. If you don't believe me, send them an email and ask them yourselves (https://www.simplify3d.com/contact-us/).

Looks like development to me. You want them to start going to the business model you see in major CAD/CAM software? I have Solidworks, where they ignore user feedback AND charge $1500 a year for updates!

If S3D ist still under development and S3D team is frequenltly watching this forum (as CompoundCarl mentioned) why nobody from S3D team answers to this thread here?

Because this is a USER forum. It's a place for users to talk and exchange info. If you want to talk directly to their staff, then just choose the contact option on their site: https://www.simplify3d.com/contact-us/

@CompoundCarl:

thanks for reply. As you said in one of your previous posts:
...they have multiple reading and reviewing this forum every single day...
So they have multiple readings every single day but don't react in any manner?
If it is a USER forum as you said, why they have multiple readings every day?

They track feature requests and bug reports here, so I'm not surprised they monitor it quite closely

For the benefit of anyone in doubt that S3D is being developed, take a look here .......

Is that enough development for you ?
