[ADDED] Select where layer outlines begin.

Wed Jan 15, 2014 11:27 pm

It would be great if we could mark the model with a vertical line and have it sliced so the layers would all begin and end leaving the 'knots' in one spot. Than we could choose where to hide these blemishes per model. Right now you can go default which can keep them in general areas, or random which spreads them all over. I know quit a few models of mine would have benefited from being able to choose where they would go.

This is not a bad idea. Don't know if it would be easy to implement it but I am sure I would be using it.

+1 from me. Hiding the "zipper" somewhere would be a great feature.

And another +1 from me.
Have been using kisslicer mostly up to purchase of S3D and went back to kisslicer just becaose of S3D not being able to contain start/stop in one place.

Was trying to do this right now. I was quite used to RepG's lower left layer start order and I assumed disabling random layer starts would produce the same results.

Kind of a necessity for me to print some models as I make stuff to sell and hiding the seam (or at least making it consistent) is kind of a must.

+1 for me too. This would be a great feature. Often when you put the seam on a corner it isn't even visible, but the slicer rarely puts it on a corner.

I agree with you 100%, i do also run print on demand and I just cannot sell any prints made with S3D.
On another note, you can contain the start/stop not only by disabling random layer starts, you also need to make sure you have disabled "Use random infill placement" under Infill tab. This gets them pretty well contained, but still not good enough. Kisslicer is really supreme when it comes to this, hope we can see this happen also with S3D.

Yes! The small items I make to sell NEED this feature.
