Re: Cubic infill

ME too, I really look forward to having a progressive infill so it is less dense where it is less needed!

I will not use cura just for that.!

Re: Cubic infill

bump! i want that Cura stuff in s3d too.
I like s3d way more then cura which is so bad in placing external support compare to s3d.
But i have to say Cura people are very creative in things like tree support or cubic infill or ironing.
Alot of stuff our s3d experts could hook on and implement - s3d was always the winner slicer to me, but they should not lay back too long.

Even if there are manual ways of adding ironing i think a software with that price could add a checkbox and do the rest for me.
Cubic infill will be hard to add manual i guess, same for tree support ;-)
So i hope s3d will add such stuff soon.

Re: Cubic infill

I'd also like to voice my support for this type of infill as well as adding more variety to the infill patterns(though this one is most certainly a priority)

I am also interested in this option.

Would also love to see Cubic infill or any type of 3D infill would be awsome

Re: Cubic infill

+1 for cubic (and gyroid) infill paterns

It should be based on studies for perpendicular versus transverse compression/tension loads.

data for isotropic(ish) infills https://youtu.be/upELI0HmzHc?t=376
tester remarks: 3D honeycomb for isotropic is worse (thus this should not be priority viewtopic.php?t=5037) compared to cubic and gyroid
