I discovered that a test cube model printed with corkscrew mode turned out much better in quality than the same model using 1 outer perimeter (which is effectively the same print result). This includes the quality of the base layers, which is more rough/scratched up, and stringing between the cube walls.
Seeing the difference in the base layer, which cannot be attributed to the spiral single extrude of the perimeter, makes we wonder what are all the settings that get overridden by corkscrew mode? I feel there is something that works better that I'd like to apply to my normal non-corkscrew mode.
What settings do corkscrew mode change/disable?
