Feature Requests

Being fairly new to 3D Printing, but learning fast, I saw the 3D Universe demo of simplify3d and was instantly sold.

Having played a little, I'm still just as impressed but would like to see more material preset slots available, for TPE, for example (I am LOVING NinjaFlex).

I realize I could re-purpose one of the existing ones, but with new materials appearing it would be nice to have the ability to have more stored options.

And, of course, if you guys had done all the work of figuring out what will work, so much the better ;)

Some guidance on dual-extruder prints wouldn't go amiss, either!

Re: Feature Requests

Hi Simon! Welcome to the boards!

You can go ahead and add as many different material options as you want into your profiles. The developers converted everything over into a very extensible XML format with lots of new options for us to play with :D For example, this post talks about the new autoConfigureMaterial tags.

If you click "Edit Process Settings", then Export your profile, you should see all of the other material options at the bottom. Just add more as needed.

There are also some nice tutorials on multi-extruder printing on the S3D website

Good luck!

Great, thanks for the tip JoeJ, thats really nice. I've been exporting fff-profiles for all my other filaments I'm configuring, as t-glase and tpe
