Hi,
Any other users of S3D with the Intamsys machines out there ?
Looking to discuss machine specific setups using S3D.

Hi there I am the proud owner of an Intamsys Funmat HT.

Lets collaborate and see what we can do with our machines.

What materials are you printing in?

Hey good to see another Funmat HT user around.

I'm using primarily Polymaker ABS filament at the moment as it's strong enough and cost effective. I do have a selection of Nylon, PC, and Ultem to try out when I need that, but as yet not used them.

What filament are you using ?

I started out Printing with ULTEM 1010 and have a pretty good Simplify3d profile ( if you want to print in 1010) , at the moment I'm trying to get a good PLA profile in Simplify3D

I eventually want to Print in PEEK and I am also a big fan of PC.

What have you found to be your ideal settings in Simplify3D ?

Either of you guys have a good profile for all of these advanced materials with this printer? I might get one based off of it's proposed ability to handle these harder to print with materials.

Hi, I've got a funmat and just started using simplify3d for the first time. Having some issues, number one is that it's printing the z-axis in the wrong direction (i.e. the layer height decreases instead of increases). Is that an obvious setting? Are there any preset profiles available that work?

Cheers

That's weird. You mean the build table starts at the bottom and moves upward with each new layer ?

I'm still finding out best settings myself. The shop I bought the printer from have some very very good test demo prints in Nylon and PC, large and small.

The Intamsys Material Guide from their website shows the starting settings recommended for each filament type, but for ABS type the shop and myself agree the E fan should be off not on like it says on the guide.

I've just switched to PC from ABS, and the first print was OK. If anything it's S3D limiting the result, as S3D is not using my best bridging settings when it should. If it was then PC would be better than ABS.

Where did you find the profile you're using? It's hard for me to believe that Simplify3D provided you a profile with less than optimized settings.

My starting profile came from the shop I purchased the printer from who also sell S3D (licenced).
I doubt S3D have a profile for this printer ?
