Extruder steps per mm not taking?

I have a replicator 2, upgraded with Bondtech extruder, which has a different value for the steps per mm.

I did the following
0. Slice with default settings, save as before.x3g
1. Help>Configuration Assistant>Select Printer> Makerbot Replicator 2
2. Tools>Firmware Configuration>X3G>Machine Profile> Replicator 2 (default config)
3. Tools>Firmware Configuration>X3G>Extruders Steps per mm (A-Axis)> Change to 147.773
4. Export profile as Bondtech.frm
5. Hit save -> Get a warning about "Firmware Configuration Conflict" (search Google for this term, no relevant hits), learn more plays a video -> Hit OK
6. Edit FFF Settings>G-Code Tab>
- Checkbox Update Firmware Configuration checked
- Firmware type>Bondtech.frm
7. Save toolpaths as after.x3g.

Compare before and after files, not getting any difference. What am I doing wrong or is this a bug?

Re: Extruder steps per mm not taking? - SOLVED

I figured it out, needed to deselect the update check boxes for G-Code in step 6.

The meaning of these is very confusing to the user or buggy. For example, even if I selected Updated Firmware Configuration and selected my custom .frm file, it would never use my custom .frm file.
