How to eliminate the filament globing to start and end of a print with Simplify3D

Sat Nov 10, 2018 4:08 pm

Just eater this in the starting Script
G28 ; home all axes
G1 X5 Y10 Z0.2 F3000 ; get ready to prime
G92 E0 ; reset extrusion distance
G1 X160 E15 F600 ; prime nozzle
G1 X180 F5000 ; quick wipe

Then add this in the Additional terminal comm. For post processing
{PREPEND "G28; home all axes\nM109 S170; wait till extruder heats to 170 deg C\nG92 E0; reset extrusion axis\nG1 E-2 F1800; retract 2mm\nG92 E0; reset extrusion axis\n"}

Note: My Ender 3 Filament starts to come out of the nozzle at 170c Watch your nozzle at start up several times. Then change the home all axes\ nM109S and wait tell extruder heats to, to the new temp. the filament starts coming out of the nozzle.(If needed)

Enter this at the Ending Script
G28 X0 ; home X axis
G1 E-3 F1800; retract filament by 3mm
M106 S0 ; turn off cooling fan
M104 S0 ; turn off extruder
M140 S0 ; turn off bed
M84 ; disable motors
You can change the 3mm retract if needed
This was possible with the help of Simplify3D
