I just bought 3d and none of my models load

I just got this and I go the the load screen. I pick a model, either 3ds or obj and load it and nothing happens. What am I not doing right? Sorry if its not in the right place. I just got on the forum.

Welcome to the forum....

You're not very clear about what you're doing.....there is no "Load" function in the software.

I assume you're Importing a shape into the workspace using either the "Import" button below the model list window...or using the Import Models item on the File dropdown menu.

If so, please note that S3D will only import .stl, .obj or .3mf file formats. .3ds format files are not supported.

Try importing the attached .stl file...its a cube.

The supported file types are stl, 3mf, and obj. 3ds files are not supported. That doesn't explain why your obj files won't load. I'd suggest trying to convert them to stl and see what happens. You can convert them online:

Thanks for the explanation and solution to the problem, I had the same issue with a couple 3ds files that, of course, wouldn't load. I'll run them through the convertor and report on what happens!
