Can you fix an aborted print file?

So we were printing a VW Bus file from Thingiverse last night. Going great, but my helper inadvertently put the wheels on the 3D model verticle instead of horizontal. This caused the wheels to fail at about the 50% mark. The bus was printing great and I would like to complete it. I have a Tronxy 5SXA Pro. Is there a way to get the file back from the printer with the break point in it, take it back into Simplify 3d, remove the wheels, and then bring it back into the printer to finish the print, with no wheels on the 3d model? It seems like this should be possible, but I haven't found any information online about doing something like this. Can anyone give me advice on this one?
