How to create a desktop shortcut in Linux?

Fri Jun 12, 2020 3:40 pm

Hey, just like the subject asks, how do you create a desktop shortcut in Linux? In earlier versions of Simplify3D, it would create a desktop shortcut for you when installed, but the latest release doesn't seem to do that. I have to go into the terminal and execute the launcher script manually in order to run it.

If you are using Ubuntu the software installer places a desktop shortcut on your desktop automatically.
