Mon Jul 27, 2020 10:01 am

Those of us in the 3D community know the colossal impact that 3D printing has had in combatting the pandemic. We’re proud to confirm that the work of our customers alone has resulted in over 1 Million PPE items printed and donated, spanning across dozens of countries to aid healthcare workers as they continue to fight against COVID-19. We want to take this opportunity to extend a sincere thank you to the many of you who helped reach that 1 million.

If anyone is still looking to get involved, we’ve compiled a great set of resources that will make it easy to get started. This series highlights the best PPE models and provides tips gathered from working with so many of you and seeing the success these items have had in your communities.

COVID-19 was certainly an unexpected event that caused many changes to businesses around the world, including our own. We had to reprioritize a significant portion of resources to assist with the huge spike in PPE related printing that arose during the crisis. While we know this created some interruptions in our work to finalize Version 5.0, we also know it is our responsibility as a company to do what we can to help, especially when so many lives are at risk.

We are so proud to be a part of a community that has made such an impact around the world to help stop the spread of this virus. We look forward to seeing even more items printed and donated as people continue to get involved.

What other ways are you seeing 3D printing being used to combat COVID-19?
