G-Code offset per material

Sat Nov 21, 2020 11:53 am

Is there a way to have a G-Code offset per material? I see the Global G-Code Offset under the G-Code tab, but this is, as it says, a global setting. My issue is that my offset of 0mm for the Z-axis works for all my rigid materials, such as as PETG and PLA, but for flexible materials such as TPU I've found that the print ends up hopelessly stuck to the bed unless I use a G-Code offset of 0.25mm.

Note that this problem would NOT be solved by increasing the First Layer Height setting since that setting compensates by also increasing the extrusion amount. The point here is I need extrude the same amount of material, but starting further from the bed it doesn't grip as tightly.

Is there any way to accomplish this, per material?

Similarly to how this post describes adding printing speed to the quality sections of a profile you can accomplish the same thing by adding the global offset Z to the material sections.
