Purging between processes

I have a GeeeTech A10T. This machine has three spools feeding through a single hot end. I've successfully printed multicolor prints splitting the part into layers and using a separate process for each color. The problem is purging between layers. This printer needs to extrude about 35mm between colors to clear the old color from the hotend.

I know I can do this with the correct gcode commands at the start of the new color layer, but can't figure out the correct gcode commands. I just want to move the hotend to one side of the build surface, lower the hotend to the bed, extrude 35mm of the new color, then proceed with the next process.

Can someone help a dummy out?

Thanks,

Kevin

Re: Purging between processes

if you haven't already, look at the knowledge base here under blog. also here is a vid on how to do it... I think it covers the purge tower and where to put it...

This gives you a good quick overview of multiple processes needed to do color prints.
this is S3d Best practice from withing the group.
