Why are the first 2-3 layers printing faster?

Hi all,

Apologies if this is not the right place, but my first 3 layers I believe for some reason seem to be printing like 25% faster than the rest of the print. I really can't find which setting is dictating this. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced.

The best way of someone being able to help you would be for you to save a Factory File of the part and profile permutation where you're getting this issue ....and attach to a post.

File dropdown menu==>Save Factory File.

I don't know about the first three layers, but there is a first layer speed setting that is normally 50% speed, but you may have accidentally changed this to be a faster speed. Check in the Layer tab of the Process settings and look at the First Layer Speed setting. If it is greater than 100%, that would at least explain the speed of that layer, but not sure why it would be faster on the next 2 layers unless this is also taking into account the bottom solid layers as well.
