Floating supports

I'm trying to print the Mummy Cat from https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/mini ... oween-cats at 150% scale. The cat has a bandage hanging from its nose, and the end of the bandage isn't attached to any other part of the model, so it definitely needs good support. But try as I might, the very first layer of that bandage is still dangling in the air, as can be seen in the screenshot I attached. Is there any way to "broaden" the auto-generated supports?

Re: Floating supports

You can broaden the autogenerated supports by making use of the "extra inflation distance" setting. This will make the generated supports larger in the X and Y plane.

for more on the settings found in the supports tab see this post: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2135

Re: Floating supports

It's also good to run your supports in 2 angles like 90 and 45 degree.
