Smoothing/sealing PLA with Tetrahydrofuran

These links explain how the chemical Tetrahydrofuran can be used to smooth and/or seal PLA 3D printed parts just like Acetone does with ABS:

Puchase it here: http://www.amazon.com/s/?field-keywords=tetrahydrofuran

There are other postings about this method that suggest some experimentation is needed, but it looks promising for PLA parts.

I prefer XTC-3D - http://www.smooth-on.com/Epoxy-Coatings ... index.html

Specifically designed for this application and a bit less nasty or volatile. But thanks for additional info on what others are trying! Always good to know more of whats out there.
