CubePro M104

Tue Apr 05, 2016 1:25 am

I am trying to understand the tool path output. This is an example of the code produced using the Cubepro process.
M104 S230 P1
M228 P0 S250
M227 P250 S250 G300 F700
M103
M108 S13
M103
M103
G1 X0.000 Y0.000 Z0.250 F9000
M104 S225 T2
Can someone tell me what the difference between the line "M104 S230 P1" (at the top) and the line "M104 S225 T2" (at the bottom).

"M104 S230 P1" changes when the temperature of the extruder is changed in the process, but "M104 S225 T2" always stays the same.

I'm going from memory here, but i don't believe the T2 is a correct suffix for the M104 as it pertains to the CubePro. The P1 means DON'T wait for the temperature to stabilize before executing the next line. The T2 is probably just ignored. Normally, T2 would be associated with extruder 2, but in the case of the cube pro, that is handled using a different Mcode number. (extruder 2=M204, etc)

For the cubePro, M104 S225 means set extruder 1 to 225 and wait till it gets there... M104 S225 P1 means set temp to 225, but don't wait for it...
