Two Questions before buying Simplify3D

Hi@all,

I'm interested to order Simplify3D. But currently there is no trial version of Simplify3D available.

So I have two questions

• Who can slice this Robot (http://www.thingiverse.com/download:255172) with Simplify3D (layer high: 0.1mm, nozzel diam: 0.4mm, with & without support) and post the gcode files?
• Who has a Simplify3D machine profile for Mendel90 printer?

i havent heard of any of the people that frequent the forum running a mendel90....but maybe. as for the slicing any of us can do that but if your going to print it we gotta know a bunch of info. temps, filament dia and all the rest of the 40 or so settings. your best bet really would be to buy it and try it out. if your not happy with it i believe you can get a refund within a 14 day trial period. dont quote me.

You could try going to the Contact Us page at www.simplify3d.com and requesting a trial license. They have been known to issue a time-limited key for a few folks to try before buying. They don't publicize this, and it may or may not be their policy any more to issue trials, but you won't know unless you ask! (Ask nicely! And, of course, feel free to blame me if I'm mistaken!)

Thank you for your response. I asked for a trial license, but support answered, that is no trial license currently available. Too bad that it give no trial version.

I want to review the gcode and the slicing resolution in a gcode viewer, like Repetier-Host. So I can see the slicing results with and without support and the details at the M-Logo and the Make-Text.

Of course, a printable file for my Mendel90 is much better. So a view extendet paramaters from KISSSlicer I’m currently using:

I forgot the speed settings:

Perimeter: 40 mm/s
Solid Infill + Support: 60 mm/s
Sparse Infill: 60 mm/s
Travel Speed: 200 mm/s
Z-Speed: 3.5 mm/s
1st Layer Max Speed: 20 mm/s
XY Accel: 1500 mm/s^2

I hope, someone can slice the robot for me (printable or only with the settings from the first post).
