FFCP Z Axis Short

Hi All, noticing recently not sure if its new material or what but my prints are coming out about 0.3mm down on hight in general, this seems consistent across all heights, what is the best way to calibrate the printer in with S3D ?

Thanks in advance

Re: FFCP Z Axis Short

If the part is always only 0.3mm short, no matter how tall the model is, then I'd say it's most likely related to the first layer being too squished.

If the error gets larger for taller parts, then it may be a problem with the Z steps/mm or some other mechanical issue

What printer did you select during the setup? A reset on S3D using the help menu may be in order.
Has something else changed? A new bed material like glass or PEI sheet etc.? Just some ideas.

Brian is right though. First determine the nature of the discrepancy, is it always the same or proportional to the model height.

Ya, never know, the lead screw might be out of spec. I expect mine to be within .1 for every 30mm, so over a 150mm height that might be off by .5

Plastic does shrink also, I print all my models at about 100.5% to 101% size
