I've been hoping to get dual extrusion working for soluble support material on my Flashforge Creator Pro.
I typically print with a raft at 50% top infill (this enables me to ensure parts stick well, but are also fairly easy to remove due to less surface area sticking - I print a lot of large flat parts for engineering, and if you don't do this, the force required to peel off the large surface area is really high - this is what our $30K 3D printer from Stratasys does at work).
However, even with an ooze shield or a prime pillar, for some reason, Simplify3D always prints the first layer on top of the raft WITHOUT priming on the pillar, or on the ooze shield. Subsequent layer changes work fine, but that first layer always goes down without priming which obviously causes issues.
Has anyone had experience solving this? Please don't suggest not using a raft, they have great benefits for many applications.
